More on American terrorism strategy
This article in The New Yorker talks about how we should be treating insurgency as a social problem rather than a military one. There are a few efforts in place to do this and a few smart people contributing but it's too little.
Basically, it jibes with what Paul Martin said about Canada's Afghan mission--that we need to provide aid as well as military intervention.
As usual, the real problem seems to be that the guy in charge isn't listening.
